Red, White, And Blue Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 5-6 large strawberries, halved

  • 1 C watermelon, cubed

  • 1/2 apple (choose your favorite)

  • 1/2 C blueberries

  • 24 ounces light lemonade

  • 4 oz. of club soda or ginger ale

  • 2 oz. low sugar (or no sugar added) cranberry juice

  • Fresh mint and lime wedge for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Prepare strawberries by washing and removing the stems, slicing each berry lengthwise and placing them in a large pitcher (mine is about 95 ounces).

  2. Next slice and cube watermelon into squares to add to pitcher.

  3. Remove skin from the apple and core. Slice lengthwise into large circles and use a star shape cookie cutter (or you can do it free hand with a small pairing knife) to make star apple cut outs to add to the pitcher.

  4. Wash blueberries and add them to the pitcher.

  5. Pour 24 ounces of light lemonade into the pitcher, leaving about a third of the top free to add club soda or ginger ale.

  6. Top with 4 ounces of club soda or ginger ale.

  7. Add 2 ounces of low sugar (or no sugar added) cranberry juice.

  8. Stir gently with a large spoon and place in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

  9. Serve with a sprig of fresh mint or lime wedge for a bit of decoration and added flavor flair!

*Serves 4-6

Sip and Enjoy!
