When the weather warms up, having a simple, refreshing treat on hand just makes everything better.
These Frozen Banana Popsicle Treats are a fun, easy way to enjoy something sweet without overcomplicating it. Made with simple ingredients and a few optional add-ins, they’re perfect for customizing based on what you like (or what you have on hand).
Recipes like this are a great reminder that eating well doesn’t have to mean giving up the foods you enjoy—it’s about finding simple ways to make them work for you.
Keep them classic with a chocolate dip, add nut butter for a little extra richness, or mix and match toppings to make them your own.
Simple, flexible, and fun—just the way it should be.

Ingredients
4 bananas
1/3 C creamy natural nut butter
8 oz. chocolate chips (or carob chips), melted
1/2 C chopped unsalted peanuts
8 popsicle sticks (or straws)
Directions
Peel bananas and either slice each in half or cut into 3 equal sections (as you see in the picture above). Insert a popsicle stick (or straw) down the center of each banana.
Line a baking sheet with wax paper and add the prepared bananas. Place the sheet in the freezer until bananas are frozen (about 2 hours).
Remove the sheet from the freezer and spread the bananas with a thin layer of nut butter, then put them back in the freezer for another 30-45 minutes.
About 10 minutes before removing the coated bananas, chop the nuts (or grind with a nut grinder (optional) and melt the chocolate chips in a small bowl on low to medium heat in the microwave, for about 4 minutes, stirring frequently so the chocolate doesn't burn.
Line another baking sheet with wax paper and spread out a thin layer of chopped nuts across it (if using nuts).
Remove the bananas from the freezer and dip each in the chocolate to coat before rolling in the nuts. Place each banana back on their sheet and put back in the freezer for 1 to 2 hours (or until firm).
Eat and Enjoy!
