9 Kitchen Finds That Make Healthy Eating Easier

Updated: Aug 6

There are thousands of kitchen gadgets on the market, and honestly... most of us don't need more stuff.

What we do need are products that make eating better feel easier — not more complicated.

These are the kitchen finds I actually use in my own home to simplify meal prep, keep healthy foods visible and organized, and make everyday cooking a little more enjoyable. They're products I've purchased myself (many more than once!) because they've stood the test of time and genuinely make life easier.

If I were starting my kitchen from scratch tomorrow, these are the first items I'd add back to my cart.

One of the best ways to make eating better feel less overwhelming is to create a kitchen that works for you — not against you. The right tools won't magically make meal prep happen, but they can make it quicker, more organized, and a whole lot more enjoyable.

glass storage for fruits, veggies, salads, grains and overnight oats

1. Glass Storage Jars

If you've ever peeked inside my refrigerator, chances are you'd see these 16 oz. glass jars everywhere.

And I use them for so much more than overnight oats. They're perfect for storing chopped vegetables, cooked grains like rice or quinoa, ground turkey, washed berries, and even individual grab-and-go salads. Seeing healthy foods prepped and ready makes it much more likely that I'll actually eat them during a busy week.

They're durable, dishwasher-safe, and have become one of the hardest-working items in my kitchen.

pantry organizers for healthy snacks

2. Pantry Storage Bins

I honestly wish I had bought these years ago.

Before organizing my pantry, healthy snacks had a way of disappearing behind boxes and bags, only to be rediscovered months later. Once everything had its own place, grocery shopping became easier, meal prep felt less chaotic, and I stopped buying duplicates because I could actually see what I already had.

Sometimes healthy habits aren't about having more willpower — they're simply about making the healthy choice the easiest choice.

BPA free Core kitchen cooking utensil set

3. CORE Kitchen Silicone Utensil Set

I never expected kitchen utensils to make my list of favorite purchases, but here we are!

After replacing my old utensils with the CORE 10 piece BPA-free silicone set, I loved them so much that I bought a second set for our travel trailer.

They're comfortable to use, gentle on cookware, easy to clean, and most importantly, they've held up beautifully. It's one of those purchases that quietly makes cooking more enjoyable every single day.

4. John Boos Maple Cutting Board

I used plastic cutting boards for years and honestly didn't think upgrading would make much of a difference.

I was wrong.

This John Boos maple cutting board has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen purchases. It's sturdy, beautiful, and large enough for everything from chopping vegetables to slicing fruit or prepping a week's worth of ingredients.

It also looks beautiful sitting on my countertop, which means it's always within reach. In a smaller kitchen, I love anything that can be both practical and attractive.

vintage hobnail drinking glasses for your favorite beverages

5. Vintage Hobnail Drinking Glasses

Sometimes it's the little things that make everyday habits feel a little more special.

I originally bought these vintage-style hobnail glasses because I loved the look of them, but they've quickly become my go-to for everything from iced coffee and sparkling water to mocktails and homemade protein drinks.

They're sturdy, dishwasher safe, and just plain fun to use. Whether I'm sipping a refreshing summer drink or winding down with an evening mocktail, they make even the simplest beverages feel a little more elevated.

It's proof that healthy habits don't have to feel boring—sometimes a pretty glass is all it takes to make staying hydrated or mixing up a nutritious drink a little more enjoyable.

smoothie blender for easy snacks and breakfasts

6. Ninja Nutri-Blender Pro

If you've followed me for any length of time, you know I'm a big fan of smoothies, especially on busy mornings when I need something quick, filling, and packed with protein.

I've been using this Ninja Nutri-Blender for about a year now, and it's one of those kitchen appliances I'd replace without hesitation. It blends frozen fruit, leafy greens, protein powder, and nut butter into a smooth, creamy drink in just a minute or two.

One of my favorite features is that the blending cup doubles as a travel cup, making it easy to grab breakfast and head out the door. Whether I'm making one of my go-to protein smoothies or blending up a quick snack, this little blender gets the job done every time.

It's a simple tool that makes eating better a whole lot more convenient — and that's exactly the kind of product I love recommending.

food chopper for simple meal prep

7. OXO Good Grips Vegetable Chopper

I'm all about finding simple ways to make meal prep feel faster and less intimidating — and this little vegetable chopper has definitely earned its place in my kitchen.

Whether I'm chopping onions for chili, peppers for fajitas, cucumbers for salads, or tomatoes for salsa, it saves time and keeps everything uniformly chopped with very little effort. Cleanup is quick, and it stores easily without taking up much space.

Healthy meals don't have to be complicated, and having a few tools that speed up prep can make it much easier to get nutritious meals on the table, even on busy weeknights.

Sometimes it's not about cooking more, it's about making cooking feel easier.

straw holder for a more organized kitchen

8. Cabinet-Mounted Straw Organizer

This might seem like a small thing, but it's one of those inexpensive purchases that made a surprisingly big difference in my kitchen.

I originally bought this straw organizer to clean up one of my kitchen drawers. If you're anything like me, straws, coffee stirrers, popsicle sticks, and other little kitchen items somehow end up tossed together until you can barely find what you need when you need it.

Since mounting it inside one of my cabinet doors, everything has its own place and is easy to grab whenever I'm making an iced coffee, smoothie, flavored water, or mocktail.

It's also been a great space saver. My kitchen is on the smaller side, so I appreciate anything that helps free up valuable drawer space without adding clutter to the countertops.

Sometimes it's the simplest organizational solutions that make everyday routines feel a little easier—and that's exactly why this one earned a permanent spot in my kitchen.

Lodge Enameled Dutch Oven for delicious and beautiful baking

9. Lodge Enameled Dutch Oven

One of my newer favorite kitchen purchases has been my Lodge Dutch oven.

I originally bought it because I wanted to start making homemade sourdough bread, and it's been perfect for creating that beautiful golden crust. But I've quickly discovered it's incredibly versatile for so much more.

From soups and chili to stews, shredded chicken, and one-pot meals, it's become one of those pieces of cookware I find myself reaching for again and again.

I'll be honest — it's a little more of a splurge than some of the other items on this list. But unlike trendy kitchen gadgets that get tucked away after a few uses, this is the kind of cookware you'll likely use for years.

If you've been thinking about upgrading your cookware, or you're looking for something to add to your holiday wish list, this is one kitchen investment I think is absolutely worth it.

Sometimes the best kitchen purchases aren't the ones you use once in a while...they're the ones that make you excited to cook.

Final Thoughts

If you've been around here for a while, you know I'm all about making eating better feel realistic and sustainable. While none of these products are "must-haves," they've each earned a permanent place in my kitchen because they help make everyday cooking, meal prep, and organization a little simpler.

From storing healthy ingredients and chopping vegetables to blending smoothies and baking homemade sourdough, these are products I genuinely use on a regular basis—and would happily buy again tomorrow.

I hope you discovered a few new ideas that inspire you to create a kitchen that works for you, not against you. Because sometimes the smallest changes — whether it's a better cutting board, a more organized pantry, or a favorite smoothie blender — can make eating better feel just a little easier.
